Directions
When flying to Galápagos, you should fly into Baltra Island. From here catch the bus that goes to the ‘Canal’, (not the ‘Muelle’). This bus will take you to the southern coast of Baltra Island, where you will board a foot ferry (80c per person), placing your luggage on top. At the other side, get a taxi which will take you the 42km across the island to Puerto Ayora for $15. Upon arrival at Puerto Ayora, the driver will ask where you wish to be dropped off. Ask for: ‘El Eden, Perimetral, Frente la casa de la Doctora Carrion.’. At the crossroads where you’re dropped off, you’ll see the houses with the blue roofs. Use the plan on this site to find the entrance.
If you wish, we can organize a ‘transfer’ for you from the airport to the house for $30 (plus $0.80 per person), including the taxi fee. We’ll send taxi drivers who work with us regularly and will help you with your luggage and will know where our accommodations are.
